A:Yes, it is fully road-legal. The EB5Max features a standard 250W rated hub motor with a default electronic speed cap of 25 km/h, strictly aligning with standard European regulations. The 1500W peak power and 55 Nm torque are managed by the controller to provide extra pulling power on steep hills or heavy starts, not illegal speed.

Note: As local insurance or tag rules can vary by city, we recommend verifying your local municipality bylaws before riding.

Winters are freezing here, and batteries hate the cold. Will the 80+ km range drop drastically?

The high-voltage 48V 20Ah pack offers better stability, but cold weather physical decay is normal. A 48V architecture resists sub-zero voltage drops better than standard 36V models. However, all lithium batteries naturally experience reduced efficiency below 0°C. The advertised 80+ km range is based on standard test conditions; real-world winter range varies with temperature and payload. Tip: Bring the key-locked removable battery indoors to charge during extreme winter weather.

Historic cobblestones and gravel paths are very bumpy. Will the handlebar shake or rattle?

The dual damping system heavily absorbs vibrations, but natural terrain feedback remains. The combination of the Motorcycle-Grade Coil Spring Front Fork and high-volume 20" × 4.0" Fat Tyres dampens severe chassis impacts and steering flutter over uneven stones. However, no lightweight vehicle can completely eliminate movement on deep ruts or loose gravel. We advise keeping a steady dual-hand grip and adapting your speed on unpredictable surfaces.

With 55 Nm of torque, will braking suddenly on rain-slicked asphalt cause dangerous fishtailing?

Smart electronic cutoff safety increases control, but defensive braking is essential. The Dual Mechanical Disc Brakes feature an Integrated Motor Cut-Off System that instantly cuts all power to the 1500W peak motor the moment you tap the levers, preventing wheelspin. The 4.0" tyres feature deep water-evacuating grooves to maximize traction. That said, road friction drops severely on wet leaves or morning frost; avoid abrupt hard braking on slick roads.

Coastal air is damp and winter roads use corrosive deicing salt. Will the bike rust or short-circuit?

The bike uses anti-corrosion alloys and moisture-resistant seals, but routine care is required. All vital wiring and the battery bay are sealed against standard rain and road splash, and the chassis is treated to resist rust. However, the bike is not fully waterproof and should never be pressure-washed or submerged.
